Founder of Polar Star
Although her children have outgrown Polar Star classes, Cyndi Hampton paved
the way for Commonwealth Schools (also known as Liber Community Schools)
when Polar Star was founded in 2002 in the Ogden area with only a few families.
Before she passed the torch to new leaders, her vision and leadership allowed it
to grow to thirty-plus families and inspired other groups that followed in their
footsteps.
Cyndi did the groundwork and established the traditions that have allowed Polar
Star to continue to offer high quality scholar classes for youth following the
principles in the leadership education model outlined by TJEd - A Thomas
Jefferson Education and utilizing mentors that have been trained by
the Leadership Education Mentoring Institute.
