We are forming a Radio Club for interested Polar Star youth! Members will learn to talk on a ham radio (Station KJ7HFC), learn some basic electronics, build a radio, practice Morse code on keys we make in class, compete in a radio scavenger hunt, and hopefully listen to the International Space Station! Everyone gets a pin identifying them as a member of our radio club.
Classes will be held the 2nd & 4th Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:15, on Opposite weeks from the Wilderness Survival & Adventure class taught by Sister Buss.
There will be 1-2 extra activities during the semester, including the space station activity.
Cost is $20 for the Semester, or $45 if you'd like a quality GMRS radio.
